Black Yankees Win at Washington, 6-4 | The New York Black Yankees trumped the Washington Senators, 6-4, at RFK Stadium. New York third baseman Chipper Jones was terrific. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Pete Schourek converted his 20th save in 28 tries. The second-place Black Yankees have won 4 in a row.
In the top of the sixth, the Black Yankees grabbed the lead when Jones hit his 34th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Wayne LaMaster made it 3-1, New York.
