| Sheckard Hits 2 home runs in Federals Win | The skies opened up and the rain fell at The Big Green A.
The Chicago Federals beat the Kansas City Athletics by a score of 9-3. right fielder Jimmy Sheckard deserved the lion's share of the credit. Sheckard went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Federals. Chicago goes to 13-12.
Chicago took the lead in the top of the fifth when Sheckard hit a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season made the score 6-3, Chicago.
"We did a lot of things right," said Sheckard.
