| Stars Win Streak Reaches 6 | The Detroit Stars picked up a win at Fenway Park II, knocking off the Boston Americans, 6-4. Starting pitcher Al Hollingsworth played a key role in the triumph. Hollingsworth went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 12-8. Rob Dibble was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 37 save opportunities.
Detroit took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Chris James hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Detroit in front, 4-2.
