Kansas City rode a fine outing from starter Tim Keefe to victory over the Boston Americans at Fenway Park II. The final score was 4-2. Keefe got the win, improving to 16-9. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Keefe allowed 1 run. Bill Stoneman was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 41 of 54 save opportunities.

Kansas City used the bat of Fred H Thomas to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Monarchs ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Thomas.

With the win, Kansas City upped its record to 82-72.
