| Red Sox Win, 4-2, at Yokohama | Kanagawa Prefecture Park was the site of a competitive game between the Yokohama Dodgers and Memphis Red Sox.
The exploits of first baseman George Sisler, who is tied for 2nd in the NL in RBI with 105, helped the Memphis Red Sox defeat the Yokohama Dodgers, 4-2. Sisler went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Geoff Zahn got the win, improving to 17-14. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Kevin Jepsen converted his 1st save in 3 tries.
Helping the Memphis cause was Glenn Wright. In the top of the first, the 2002 Jack Roosevelt Robinson Award winner had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 2-0, Red Sox.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Yokohama skipper Eric Misener, "and it cost us."
The win puts Memphis at 97-61 this season.
