He was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Jim Mecir came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. The Black Barons have now won 5 straight.
Making an impact for the home team was Howie Kendrick. In the bottom of the seventh, the 35-year old first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 7-6, Black Barons.
