| Black Yankees Double Up Chicago, 4-2 | New York Black Yankees starter Alex Cobb hurled his team past the Chicago American Giants, 4-2. The triumph puts New York at 21-19 for the season.
New York used the clutch hitting of Bobby Crosby to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Black Yankees the lead, 4-1. For the game, Crosby had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said New York skipper John McInerney. "I can't complain."
