The Boston Americans bested the Detroit Stars by a score of 8-2, with second baseman Joe L Morgan getting the main credit. On the day, Morgan went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Americans. With the win, Boston pushed its record to 22-18.
In the top of the eighth, with Boston leading 4-2, Fritz Ostermueller hit a fastball from Byron Houck for a 2-run single, giving the Americans the lead, 6-2.
