| Dodgers Stun Caribou, 4-2 | The Yokohama Dodgers got a stellar performance from pitcher Hod Eller, who handcuffed the Caribou offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Dead River Aroostookdome. Eller went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-3. Caribou has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Yokohama used a timely hit from Bobby Bonds to get the win. The right fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
Eller said his team "played with determination."
