| Senators Lose to Americans, 4-2 | The Boston Americans got a rain-soaked win over the Washington Senators.
Boston picked up a win at Fenway Park II, toppling the Washington Senators, 4-2. Pitcher Bob Rush was one of the reasons the Americans triumphed. Rush got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. Rush allowed 2 runs. Johnny Klippstein was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Boston took a 4-1 lead on Marwin Gonzalez's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Washington pitcher Todd Worrell in the bottom of the seventh.
Rush called the win "a collective effort."
