The Houston Eagles did just enough to sneak past the St. Louis Browns, 7-6, at Sportsman's Park. Houston right fielder Michael Brantley, in particular, had a standout performance. Bill Bayne picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-3. With the win, Houston pushed its record to 23-18.
