The Chicago American Giants bested the St. Louis Browns, 8-6, at Sportsman's Park. Domingo Santana was one of the standouts. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. The save went to Steve Kealey, his 3rd this season. At 21-25, the American Giants claim last place in the Senior Circuit SOS.

Chicago used the bat of Norm Cash to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the American Giants ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

American Giants manager Matt Reynolds wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
