Bears Top Athletics to Even Record | The Milwaukee Bears defeated the Kansas City Athletics, 5-2, at County Stadium . Milwaukee center fielder Jim Edmonds had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Milwaukee pitcher Robin Roberts got the win. He's now 2-7. Robbie Ray was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Bears hiked their record to 25-25.
Edmonds made an early impact for Milwaukee when he stroked his 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Bears on top, 4-1.
