| Bears Handed 3-0 Loss by Chicago | Chicago turned a good effort from starter Jose Rosado into a win over the Milwaukee Bears at Rube Foster Park. The final score was 3-0. Matt Thornton converted his 7th save in 9 tries. The victory gives Chicago a record of 32-30.
The American Giants got an important contribution from third baseman Pie Traynor, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a 1-2 curveball into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the American Giants ahead, 3-0.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Rosado. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
