Senators Get Past Kansas City for 3-2 Win | The Washington Senators got a stellar performance from pitcher Mickey Harris, who handcuffed the Kansas City offense en route to a win, 3-2, at The Big Green A. Washington reliever Todd Worrell got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Felix Rodriguez was tagged with the loss. The win puts Washington at 26-39.
Mickey Mantle had a clutch hit in the top of the eighth inning. With two men out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Washington first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Senators in the lead, 3-2.
