Dodgers Score Late to Upend Federals, 6-4 | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Yokohama Dodgers and Chicago Federals.
Chicago shortstop Willie Wells had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to Yokohama at Wrigley Field. Wells was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Reliever Frank Reberger picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Stan Ferens took the loss.
The outcome might have been different for Yokohama, had it not been for Khalil Greene, the 22-year old shortstop . Greene stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Yokohama up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"It feels good to get this one," Greene told the Yokohama Bulletin.
At 29-38, Yokohama is in third place in the Senior Circuit Mama Mia. | | | | |
