| Wright goes 4-for-5, Leads Red Sox to Win | The Memphis Red Sox downed the Houston Eagles, 7-3, at Buffalo Stadium. Glenn Wright led the way, going 4-for-5 for Memphis. Memphis pitcher Ownie Carroll got the win. He's now 7-5. Fritz Peterson was tagged with the loss. Chris Fussell converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
In the top of the first, with the game still scoreless, Wright hit a 2-run double to put his team in the lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Wright. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
With the win, Memphis pushed its record to 41-26.
