| Red Sox Lose to Dodgers, 5-1 | The Yokohama Dodgers got a good effort from starter Adam Eaton in defeating the Memphis Red Sox at Kanagawa Prefecture Park. The final score was 5-1. The winning pitcher was Eaton, now 8-9. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 2. The Dodgers saw their win-loss record go to 30-40. At the same time, the Red Sox fell to 42-27.
The Dodgers got a big at-bat from center fielder Andruw Jones. For the game, Jones went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Yokohama a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Eaton told the Yokohama Bulletin.
