Americans Win at Chicago, 13-6 | Boston second baseman Joe L Morgan helped his team beat the Chicago Federals, 13-6. Morgan, who led the AL in stolen bases with 26 in 2002, went 4 for 6 for the Americans. The Junior Circuit Waterloo-leading Americans are 44-30.
Brooklyn, New York-born Joe Torre came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Americans trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Boston on top.
