| Dodgers Top New York, 4-3 | The Yokohama Dodgers faced a tough opponent in New York pitcher Kid Nichols, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Kanagawa Prefecture Park by a final score of 4-3. Nichols went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win belongs to Clarence Winters in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Pete Schourek took the loss for New York. The Dodgers, at 33-41, sit in third place in the Senior Circuit Mama Mia.
In the bottom of the eighth, Yokohama pinch hitter Khalil Greene put his team on top. With no one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 5th home run of the year. New York pitcher Pete Schourek served it up. Just like that, the Dodgers were ahead, 4-3.
Greene told a Yokohama Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
