Good production from right fielder Tony R Armas helped the Boston Americans topple the Chicago Federals, 9-2. Armas went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Americans. Picking up the win was Johnny Klippstein. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 4. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Boston.

With Boston leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Armas came up to bat against Chicago pitcher Jon Matlack. Armas hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Americans on top, 6-0.
