| Browns Deal Dodgers 6-2 Defeat | St. Louis Browns starter Sonny Gray turned in a top-notch performance against the Yokohama Dodgers at Kanagawa Prefecture Park. The result was a win for the Browns, 6-2. Doug Capilla notched his 5th save in 6 chances. St. Louis leads the Junior Circuit Fernando by 10½ games.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the top of the sixth, Gray had a key at-bat for St. Louis. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Gray, who is tied for 9th in the AL with a 1 complete games, hit a run-scoring single off Hod Eller, making the score 3-2, Browns.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gray told the St. Louis Times.
