| Late Magic Gets Boston 6-3 Win | Boston and New York duked it out and the Americans came out victorious.
The Boston Americans topped the New York Black Yankees, 6-3, in Junior Circuit action at Fenway Park II. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Washington, District of Columbia, native Johnny Klippstein. The Americans lead the Junior Circuit Waterloo by 8 games.
In the bottom of the eighth, Boston third baseman Jud Wilson had a run-producing at-bat. Facing New York hurler Pete Schourek, Wilson drew a walk, driving in 1 run. That made the score 4-3, Boston. For the day, Wilson drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Klippstein.
