Stars Get Past Chicago for 2-1 Win
Detroit Stars starter Dallas Braden was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Chicago American Giants, 2-1. Rob Dibble was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 21 save opportunities. With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 49-41.

Alex Rodriguez, who finished 4th in the NL in wins above replacement with 7.3 in 2003, helped out the Detroit cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk.
