| Jones Hits 2 home runs in Dodgers Win | A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Andruw Jones, who is tied for 8th in the NL in stolen bases with 7, led the Yokohama Dodgers to a win over the Birmingham Black Barons, 8-4. Birmingham's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Jones put Yokohama up, 2-0, when he hit a solo home run off Jim Umbarger in the bottom of the fourth. His 16th home run of the season helped the Dodgers capture the win.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Jones told the Yokohama Bulletin. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
