| Bears Fall to Detroit, 7-6 | Mule Suttles was a vital contributor to the 7-6 Detroit victory over Milwaukee. The Stars first baseman went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Rob Dibble closed it out for his 2nd save. Milwaukee falls to 2-9.
Bill Mazeroski was 1 for 3 for Detroit. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Mazeroski, who is a three-time Ozzie Award winner, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Milwaukee hurler Jim Bruske, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Stars a 7-6 lead.
