| Eagles Dump St. Louis, 9-0, to Win 4th in a Row | Houston Eagles starter Ted Gray pitched his team past the St. Louis Browns, 9-0. The winning pitcher was Gray, now 11-8. He tossed 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. With the win, Houston upped its record to 79-53.
The Eagles got a lift from second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who in the bottom of the second hit a bases-clearing double. His 19th double of the season put the Eagles on top, 8-0.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Houston skipper Charles Wolfson.
