| Americans Hammered by Allen, Drop Game 3 to Black Yankees | Already down in the Round 2, the New York Black Yankees put on their best show, beating the Boston Americans by a final score of 7-2 today. Dick Allen earned player of the game honors, as he went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. New York now trails Boston 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.
Ryan Klesko swatted a 2-run home run for New York in the top of the ninth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
"We've got a great group of guys," Allen said, "and we're having fun right now."
