| League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Rusie\n and Boston | The League Championship Series got off to a quiet start today, with the host Boston Americans taking a low-scoring 1-0 win over the Caribou Caribou. Boston right-hander Amos Rusie was marvelous at Fenway Park II and was named player of the game. The Americans now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Rusie, who was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, threw 153 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"I had everything working," said Rusie.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Fenway Park II in Boston. Slated to start are Billy Rhines for Caribou and Eddie Plank for Boston.
