| Caribou Roll to 8-3 Win Over Bears | The Caribou Caribou bested the Milwaukee Bears by a score of 8-3, with second baseman Tommy Helms getting the main credit. On the day, Helms went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Caribou. Tom Snow closed the game out for Caribou, earning his 1st save. The loss has the Bears at 14-17.
In the top of the first, Helms pounced on a 2-1 fastball from Don Drysdale and hit a 2-run home run. It put Caribou on top, 2-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Helms.
