Jimenez Handcuffs Americans, Caribou Seize 2-1 Advantage in League Championship Series
The Caribou Caribou got a strong performance from pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez, who stymied the visiting Boston Americans en route to a 5-2 win in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. The Americans could never get a bead on the right-handed Jimenez, who threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. The Caribou now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Jimenez allowed 2 runs over 9 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Jimenez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Caribou. Slated to start are Amos Rusie for the Boston Americans and Esteban Loaiza for the the Caribou Caribou.
