Stars Rally For Late Win Over Bears | Milwaukee got a terrific game from right fielder Nick Swisher. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Detroit, 6-4. Swisher was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Detroit reliever Bill Donovan got the win, raising his record to 6-2. Jim Bruske was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Stars have a record of 83-63.
Chris James had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth. The Detroit center fielder came through with a 2-run double to put Detroit in front, 4-2.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," James told the Detroit Chronicle. | | | | |
