| Win Makes Browns 87-60 | The St. Louis Browns defeated the Washington Senators, 6-2, in Junior Circuit action at Sportsman's Park. St. Louis pitcher Cliff P Lee had a standout performance. Lee went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 21-10. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Browns.
In the bottom of the third inning of a 1-1 tie, St. Louis designated hitter Wes Covington reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put St. Louis on top, 2-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Covington told the St. Louis Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
