| Bears Improve to 89-70 with 6-3 Win | Milwaukee Bears starter Don Drysdale was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Detroit Stars, 6-3. Drysdale went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 17-16. Milwaukee now has a 3-game win streak.
Louis Santop took Dallas Braden deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Bears on top, 2-0. In all, Santop had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Santop told the Milwaukee Herald.
