| Federals Slap 6-3 Loss on Dodgers | Chicago Federals starter Homer Bailey was in fine form against the Yokohama Dodgers at Kanagawa Prefecture Park, leading his team to a win, 6-3. Stan Ferens was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 27 save opportunities. Yokohama has now lost 4 in a row.
The Federals grabbed the lead in the top of the first. With one out, Willie Wells hit a 2-run home run off Mike Hampton, putting Chicago in front, 3-0. For Wells, it was his 25th home run of the season.
Bailey told a Chicago Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
