Dodgers Walk It Off for 71st Win of Season
The Chicago Federals got a superb performance from second baseman Joe Cronin. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Yokohama. The Dodgers won the game, 8-7. Cronin went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Dodgers go to 71-91, putting them last in the Senior Circuit Mama Mia.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 7-7, pinch hitter Ron Kittle won it for Yokohama. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Kittle hit a first pitch slider from Stan Ferens for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 8-7 win.

"Exhilarating win," said Kittle.
