| Raucous Dead River Aroostookdome Crowd Propels Caribou to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1 | Leave it to the veteran.
The Caribou Caribou got a great start from 34-year-old right-hander Nolan Ryan, as Caribou won the contest, 3-1, at Dead River Aroostookdome. Ryan threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball in the win, which knotted the best-of-5 series at 1-1.
Frank Bowerman had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for Caribou. He came through with a solo home run to put Caribou in front, 3-1.
Bowerman called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Elmer Stricklett for the Los Angeles Angels and Orval Overall for the the Caribou Caribou.
