| Thrilling Win Pushes Los Angeles to Next Round | The Los Angeles Angels's World Series dreams are still alive, as they've ousted the Kansas City Monarchs in the Play-in Round, by a score of 5-2.
Buck O'Neil Yard played host to the one-game showdown, as Los Angeles was paced by the strong pitching of Elmer Stricklett, who was named MVP.
He threw 9 innings, with 1 strikeout, while allowing 5 hits, 3 walks and 2 runs.
"It won't be the last time we see Kansas City in the playoffs, I'm sure of that," Stricklett said. "We're happy to come out of it with the win."
