Almost There: Boston On Cusp of R2 Triumph After 10-9 Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of catcher Rick Ferrell, the Boston Americans stopped the visiting Caribou Caribou, 10-9, in Game 4 of the League Championship Series today. Ferrell went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Americans, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Ferrell contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Boston get the win.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Ferrell.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow at Fenway Park II in Boston. Slated to start are Mel Harder for the Caribou Caribou and Billy Rhines for the the Boston Americans.
