Senators Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Federals | Washington beat Chicago at RFK Stadium, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Steven Souza. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ryne Duren finished to wrap up his 2nd save. With the victory, the Senators upped their record to 22-22.
Tony Wolters had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Senators. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Washington trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wolters told the Washington Chronicle. | | | | |
