| Caribou Grabs 2-1 Lead in Division Round | The Caribou Caribou moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the Boston Americans on the road at Fenway Park II by a score of 4-3. Caribou left fielder Magglio Ordonez belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win gives the Caribou a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Round.
Ordonez got the Caribou off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Caribou skipper Miguel Jon Woodsum. "I can't complain."
The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11th, 2005. The scheduled starters for the game are Orval Overall for the Caribou Caribou and Fritz Ostermueller for the the Boston Americans.
