Red Sox Clip Bears 3-2 in League Championship Series Contest
The Memphis Red Sox knotted up the League Championship Series at Elvis Stadium today, thanks in large part to starter Tommy John. John quieted the Milwaukee Bears, enabling Memphis to grab the 3-2 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

With one out in the bottom of the third, George Sisler barreled up a sinker from Robin Roberts. The result was a solo home run, putting the Red Sox in front, 3-1.

John told a Memphis Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday in Milwaukee. Slated to start are Geoff Zahn for Memphis and Don Drysdale for Milwaukee.
