| On Road, Browns Top Black Barons, 7-1 | The St. Louis Browns topped the Birmingham Black Barons, 7-1, with first baseman Jim Viox playing a big role. Viox was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Browns in the win. Kyle Gibson picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-2. He struck out 3 in 8 innings. With the win, St. Louis raised its record to 29-20.
St. Louis took the lead in the top of the fifth when Viox hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made the score 2-0, St. Louis.
