| Black Barons Deal Senators 4-2 Loss | The Washington Senators got a superb performance from pitcher Smokey Joe Williams. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Birmingham. The Black Barons won the game, 4-2. Williams threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The Senators, at 22-30, have lost 8 straight games.
In the bottom of the 12th inning, Chris Herrmann won the game for the Black Barons, walloping a 2-run home run. For the game, Herrmann went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Herrmann told the Birmingham Citizen.
