Federals Win at New York, 5-3 | Behind a fine performance from Rafael Palmeiro, the Chicago Federals knocked off the New York Black Yankees, 5-3. Palmeiro went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Federals. The Federals move to 25-32 with the win, while the Black Yankees drop to 28-29.
Palmeiro had a timely hit for Chicago in the top of the seventh. With New York trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Chicago.
