| Birmingham Gets 6-3 Win | Birmingham and Kansas City duked it out and the Black Barons came out victorious.
Black Barons designated hitter Stan Spence put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the Kansas City Monarchs. Spence went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Birmingham in the contest. Birmingham, at 35-23, is 4 games up in the Senior Circuit SOS.
Spence had a key at-bat for Birmingham early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Birmingham an early 2-0 lead.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Spence.
