The Washington Senators topped the Detroit Stars, 4-3, in Junior Circuit action at RFK Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Washington pitcher and New York, native Mickey Harris. The loss has the Stars at 3-4.

Washington second baseman Xander Bogaerts went deep in the bottom of the third. His solo home run off Detroit pitcher Dallas Braden put the Senators in front, 4-0. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
