Ryan Sharp, Whitewashes Senators, 5-0 | In an impressive mound performance, Nolan Ryan of the Caribou Caribou checked the Washington Senators on a 5-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said Washington manager Rickie E. Shaw. "Ryan kept us confused the whole game."
The Caribou hurler rang up 11 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his 5-0 shutout victory.
