| Stars Upend Bears, 4-2 | Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Detroit Stars got the win.
The Milwaukee Bears went down to defeat to Jeff Weaver and his Detroit teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Stars. Weaver went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 7-4. Jose Leclerc notched his 1st save in 2 chances.
Alex Rodriguez took Robin Roberts deep with one out in the top of the third. On a full count fastball, Rodriguez drilled a 2-run home run to left. It was his 14th home run of the season and put Detroit on top, 2-0.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rodriguez.
With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 39-30.
