| Eagles Score Late to Upend Caribou, 5-3 | The Houston Eagles topped the Caribou Caribou, 5-3, in Senior Circuit action at Buffalo Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and Des Moines, Iowa, native Kevin Tapani. Takashi Saito converted his 24th save in 25 tries. Houston raised its record to 48-30 with the win.
In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Caribou allowed the Eagles to go up, 4-3, on a Caribou error.
